You can only visit so many places in life. Don't feel bad about missing a few,
the world is large and we as people tend to be quite good at cooking.
However in regards to your main point, I think it's immoral for a restaurant
to be forced to close the way you describe. If it means something to people,
it shouldn't be destroyed simply for the sake of making something new. If
people don't care about it, or if there's something better to replace it with,
sure, but replacing a 40 year old restaurant with a Chipotle feels wrong.

I broke something today that someone gave me and that I was going to give away
as a gift. But the more I think about it, the less I think the gift's
recipient would have wanted it. I do however regret hurting my girlfriend
while I broke it, that was an accident. Sometimes you trip, sometimes you
slip, and sometimes you stub your toe. Accidents happen. It's okay, just
apologize, and realize that power is what you make of it, and we all have the
power of our own actions as we touch and prod the environment around us where
plants breathe.

If I destroyed the world, don't worry. I'd bring it back in such a way that
the teleporter problem doesn't apply, and there would be no discontinuity for
anything except for the time variable, which is sort of arbitrary anyway.
And if that's a problem I guess I could find a way to do it without messing
with the time variable, but that'd be a bit more bothersome.
