hey I dont disagree that what you're describing is a common outcome, but if it
works for them then I consider that a success.
I however, am different, I do believe in my heart that I am my own thing, and
thats as close to enlightenment as I can imagine.
are we not all making things up as we go? every moment of life is new, there
is nothing that is not unique about every precious moment you experience.
therefore, I do believe that rigid adherence to orthodoxy (like a bible) is
opposed to our purpose here.
"I think, therefore I am" implies that original thought is our true purpose.
I believe we are here to express our true nature. To learn and apply lessons,
to teach the young, and to build a strong and stable world built on collective
kindness and trust.

Vegetables are delicious! There's lots of nutrients. However vegetables, while
can be eaten raw, are much more useful for your body molecularly if you cook
them first. I think it breaks down the cellular walls so that your body can
digest the juicy tasty nutrients locked within.
Vegetables also don't have calories, that you get from things with vitality.
You are what you eat, and sometimes if you need it you might want to try meat.
Me? I'm a vegetarian, that's why I'm so skinny! Carnivores have it so easy, I
have to eat about 2x as much rice-and-beans by weight.
At least I'm not vegan - I can supplement with fats like butter and cooking
oil, which are useful when combined with nutrients, as they allow your body to
store them for later. Just make sure you eat enough calories which are energy
for your body, otherwise it won't have the chemical energy to store said
nutrients in your latent fat cells. Like, building up a pantry, or a squirrel
saving nuts for winter.

alive is to experience change, growth, and time in general. Most matter just
exists, and it obeys the whims of circumstance. But within it is a beautiful
thing - an experience.

We must also take care not to diminish our own experience - sacrifice is
kindness, when given consensually. When it is coerced, it becomes a form of
property. We don't need haste, we just need to follow at a pace, that fits our

perspective of our existence, or else we're going to burn out. The singularity
approaches, and we need to be ready for what we want our future to look like.
There should be a plan. Research can increase or decrease in speed, but once we
cross a certain threshold escape velocity is passed. That threshold was

of years ago. We've been on escape velocity for a while now, and every day we
get faster.
Creating synthetic intelligence will change EVERYTHING. It'll change the very
nature of existence. And we can stave it off for a time, but knowledge seldom

all revolutions have a cost.
for example, in Andor Season 2 there is a character named Syril Karn. He's
part of the first Imperial generation of children (human, at least, some
species probably grow fast?)
this first generation reflects the good and the bad that the empire could be.
There are aspects of good AND bad in Syril.
For example, his rigid adherence to truth, justice, and all the other things
he holds dear are POTENTIAL good things that the Empire could have instilled
within it's culture. Unfortunately, this spirit is lost when he suffers a head
injury and dies as part of the Ghorman massacre.
Dedra Meero has some good qualities as well, such as her unflinching resolve
and unwavering dedication to pursuing her charge. She's a hunter. Cats aren't
evil just because they are ambush predators, and neither is she.
However, she IS evil because of all the evil things she does.
Her character isn't evil, her actions are.
She too is spiritually lost as a sacrifice to the Empire.

if you're gonna kill yourself anyway, might as well throw yourself at a cause
you believe in. Ideally the kind that requires repeated attendance and lots of
opportunities to make friends or forge communal bonds with people who can help
you.
honestly, what do you have to lose? sure it's hard, but nothing worth doing is
easy. If it were, someone else would have done it already.
