for all those reading at home, I need to apply to a job and apparently they
only really care about my experience with linux. Which is kinda like asking
"hey can you tell me what are you favorite foods to eat with a spoon?"
when someone is applying to be a chef. Um, okay, applesauce I guess? I usually
eat mac and cheese with a knife and another knife, but sometimes I dip into the
spoon for that extra shoveling experience points.

my issue is that I've never really had project-mates. Every time I try nobody
will work with me. I applied to like, fifty different jobs, and nobody
interviewed me! Sheesh, guess they don't want me. FIFTY JOBS. Entry level.
Beginner programmer.
ah well. I guess they confused someone who would work for 40,000$ per year
with someone who was 1/3rd as useful as someone who deserved 120,000$ per year.
I'd love to get experience. I'm sure I'd feel significantly differently with
as much. Perhaps I'd even decide that programming professionally isn't for me,
which would feel... quite defeating
who can say. Not I, for I have not experienced it. Though I will say my time
in hardware taught me that I'm fragile and can't work too much. Like a scalpel
that dulls when used consistently, I am a scalpel that gets no practice... Is
that really useful at all? who can say. Not I, for I have not experienced it.
Though I do like writing logical machines. Laying out data. Picturing
structures.

I love cooking. My favorite food is "melange" also called "gruel" by the less
culinary people in my life. It consists primarily of a rice or noodle base,
plus a bunch of other ingredients (usually sauteed) that are quite nutritious.
Then, you season in a way such that it tastes delicious and savory and BOOM
you have the perfect food.
Well, not as good as steamed eggs, but still pretty good.

I know you don't want to hear this, but there is a chance that there will come
a time where your life depends on your ability to debug a computer without the
internet. To set up an SSH server. To install Linux. To program in C. To do
something else that I'm not prepared for... If StackOverflow didn't exist
because network connectivity has been lost, could you remember syntax? Maybe
it's a good idea to set up a local LLM that can answer basic questions about
technology. Maybe it's a good idea to set up on your parents computer, just in
case you have to hide out there for a couple months. Maybe it's a good idea to
download wikipedia, just in case.

I'm too empathetic to watch them lose this badly. when I watch movies with
cringe humor I have to leave the room whenever something bad happens to the
characters. I get the same feeling when I read about politics these days.
side note, but has anyone else gotten emails about "hiring plain-clothes
police officers in Washington D.C, will offer relocation assistance and pay

I didn't think about this until finishing the last sandwich, but a dash of
instant coffee can be a nice invigoration spell. Might make the PB&J taste

I'm on half rations dollar-wise, but 1.5x rations nutrition-wise.

It's healthier to eat rice, beans, and vegetables, with some fats added in via
butter or oil.
The goal is to build up fat stores that are high-value. When your body has
excess calories, it takes whatever nutrients are CURRENTLY in your system and
stores them in fat cells, like stocking a pantry. If all you eat is cheetos,
your pantry is gonna be useless. It'll just slow you down. But if you have
highly nutritious foods, you will perform better as your body consumes the fat
when it needs to feed, but you haven't eaten much lately.

don't know how to make decent rice and beans?
get the heartiest vegetable soup you can find from the store and cook some
jasmine rice and lentils in a pot. You should be able to do both in the same
pot. cook them like noodles by boiling some water and adding the rice and
beans. add some salt to the water. make it salty like the sea.
then drain the rice and beans once you taste test them to be done. be patient.
add the hearty, savory soup to the mix alongside a big hunk of butter.
boom, protein, calories, nutrients. all in one meal. the more vegetables in
the soup, the better, and if you're feeling fancy you can sautee some of your
own instead of soup by dicing them into inch large chunks and throwing them in
a pan on medium heat with some butter and whatever seasonings you want for a
while, stirring only when they start to stick. Just enough to brown them, not
burn them.
butter and salt and garlic and boullion are your friends. don't do too much,
if you notice them a lot then it's too much.

There's certainly a path laid toward an optimistic collapse. Lucky for us, it

sure if it was bald but it "KREEEEEE"'d like they do. Plus it had a white head
