-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | RitzMenardi — 09/11/2023 11:42 PM | | Greetings from the wandering courier of Man! And "sup" from the player who | | plays them. : ) | | | | (from the cavaliers game) | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Pi — 09/12/2023 3:06 AM | | Sup man! | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/12/2023 10:18 AM Yo wanna nap-3 :)) not home yet but we bordered last turn -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/12/2023 10:20 AM Mmmmm I'm not sure such an agreement would be in our best interests, at this time. You see, we covet the mountain province that you lay claim to near our territory - Norfangs (119) - perhaps we would be amenable to signing such a treaty if that province were transferred to our control? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/12/2023 10:46 AM There is no way I'll give up access to a throne. I was merely offering an NAP so we can look to other borders, instead of having the need to protect a one prov wide border -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/12/2023 10:47 AM Ah, but do you not maintain control over the province of Dal'Kopor (133)? That should allow access should you need it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/12/2023 10:47 AM I offer friendship and loyalty to the NAP. If you can send a screen i'm at the beach rn -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/12/2023 10:48 AM Image Hell yeah it's perfect weather for the beach where I'm at, have lots of fun ^_^ We can always wait to finish this conversation when you're at your computer. I have no life so I pretty much am always around. ❤️ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/12/2023 11:01 AM Um I mean "It is a sorrowful day for this wandering courier of Man, but alas it seems our negotiations cannot proceed in our favor. Perhaps with time you will find that the province of Norfangs (the mountain) extends your border a bit too far for your comfort - but pray, tarry not, for the nobles in the towering keeps of Avalon look unkindly toward those who sign NAPs with Ermor, our sworn enemies. Or mayhaps the winds of gossip have failed them, and delivered false truths unto mine ears? In any event, we have an army approaching approximately 5 turns hence. Should Na'Baian forces remain in that territory we shall be forced to draw swords in conflict. Oh, what a sorrowful day this is indeed! To deliver such unkind words. But alas, our pretender god covets earth gems, and so the mountains of the world are valuable to us, and conquest for gems is as practical a casus belli as any others that Man might hold. We may be amenable to trade, for magical items or simply gemstones. We happen to possess a Staff of the Sea (Army sail 200 points, ship size 4) which we could offer. We know not of thine relations with Pythium, but such a staff would enable a surprise attack through the water province on your southern border, should you desire it." We also have construction level 2 and nature/air mages so if you need any items like that let me know. : ) Image Image -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/12/2023 12:41 PM Was just home for 15 minutes Will think about your "offer" next turn What do you want for the staff? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/12/2023 12:46 PM Just the mountain province of Norfangs (119)! After that we'd be more than willing to sign a NAP with you. Preferably NAP3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 3:23 AM I'll not give you you a province that is 1 province away from my cap and 3 away from yours. I hope you understand in case you attack. You will regret it as I have a lot of stealthy units in my roster. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:26 AM I see. It is unfortunate that we could not reach an understanding. Our scouts are baffled by the shifting mirages that flicker and disappear over the crest of each and every hill, and as of yet have made no sight of any armies you may or may not possess. We feel compelled to tell you our plans because of our steadfast and stalwart nature, but know this: should blades come to be crossed (and should Na'Baian armies remain in the province of Norfangs 4+ turns hence, they shall) we shall fight with determination and resolve. It is not our wish to engage in total war, as we want a single province only. Our claim is clear and our intentions are made manifest - thus begins the conflict of Man and Na'Ba! May it ever go in our favor, tricksy genies. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 8:41 AM Can you tödr in english please? 😂 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:41 AM Yes : ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 8:42 AM I really like your long texts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:42 AM Thanks I like writing them ^_^ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 8:42 AM but I'm short on time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:42 AM I totally get it and it's always okay to ask for a translation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 8:42 AM Nicely written! Really! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:43 AM Basically I want the province of Norfangs (119) because it has a high chance of giving earth gems, which my pretender uses. We have an army that should arrive in a couple turns (4ish) but we can also attack sooner if I'm feeling lucky with my half-army. But I only want that province So don't worry about me pushing into the rest of your territory. Also Man doesn't look kindly on people who sign NAPs with Ermor, and I heard through gossip that you did, hence why we're being unfriendly : ) But also I'd like to stress that person to person you and me as two players in this game I am only happy that you are here, even if circumstances pit us against one another <3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/13/2023 8:51 AM If the circumstances allowed me, ermor wouldn't have a nap, but trust me, I didn't leave them with much territory. 🙂 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/13/2023 8:51 AM Hell yeah :D -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/16/2023 6:07 AM Take 119 as you said but leave the fort alone I warn you once or it will be total war with no possibility of peace negotiation. I have stealthy thugs in your dominion already, ready to disrupt your most valuable provinces -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/16/2023 9:41 AM Have no fear, genies of the east. Our pretender god is known to... wander... but know that he seeks not to conquer your lands. Rather, it is on a tour of the countryside that he now leads us, and while at first he sought to contest your knights in Coast Haven, it now appears that they were not set to patrol and instead did the smart thing by peering down at us from atop their castle walls. Alas. We shall be out of your territory soon enough, and the fortress shall ever be in your name. (Picture is something I sent to Ulm, perhaps you'd enjoy it as well) Image -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/16/2023 10:14 AM Though I must admit, an attack on our infrastructure may only be stymied by a march to thine capital. Please force not our hand, oh imperceptible genies! More dead to be risen is not our ultimate goal or intention. We march now to Kratas, to search for sites of power. Specifically nature and earth. We have no intention of remaining there, so if any should be found they are yours (should you claim them). Our pretender seeks the magic of life and speaks not in the words of human borders. Our favor for him is borne of honesty and love, and we march as he commandeth. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/16/2023 10:15 AM Will read later! 😄 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/16/2023 10:16 AM for reference, though keep in mind my plans may change : ) Image -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pi — 09/16/2023 5:48 PM I appreciate your.. kindness.. but Na'ba is a sovereign nation. The queen will let you leave our sacred lands, otherwise, the proud god of man will be destroyed and his ashes will scatter in the sands of the desert and be forgotten in no time. As soon as your party will arrive in the plains of Kratos, they will find to have their way cut off, as na'baeans are known for their ability to cross the wastelands in unusual quickness. Your mighty god may believe these are empty words, but it seems word of the sack of Machaka by the coalition has not spread far yet: Na'ba's troops have conquered enough in the north. Your god should fear, because the na'baeans have received orders and are departing south, tirelessly crossing multiple provinces a month. There is still time to make things right as they were. If this isn't enough. There is word of nabean desert tribes gathering for revenge. They are known for their skill to hide, even in daylight, and they are feared for their dreadful pillages. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RitzMenardi — 09/16/2023 10:08 PM Fear not, genies of the desert. We are marching now from thine lands, and we shudder at the thought of ever returning. Though we never crossed swords in truth, the promise of conquest has ever been out of our mind - we simply follow where our errant god doth lead. And now, Pythium has betrayed us and broken our borders without warning. This leaves us with no choice but to return home at once, and so we march. As we have ever said, we have no desire for conquest of thine territory - although should it come down to it, if ye stand in the way of our crusade against Ermor then perhaps we will fight another day. For now, we are in retreat. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
